Team Beta travel are a one of three teams sent by The Project to recover and research pre-Collapse artefacts.

sub13bet - beta status report shows sensor droid and indicates presence of unknown faction (collective) in the Eastern sector, their mission being to recover and research Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) technology from a nearby pre-Collapse airbase.
In the early stages of their mission they encounter an unknown enemy force that possesses superior weapons technology. Initially both forces avoid conflict, however by the start of Campaign 2 Team Beta come under heavy attack from the enemy group, now known to be The Collective.
